Will the movie theater in Springfield ever open? Wasn't it a movie theater back in the day? It would be nice not having to drive to Savannah everytime to go to the movies.

I would be really surpised if they would renovate that building to open up the old movie theater. That building is falling apart. I think the only thing still usable on it is the walls. But you never know.

They start now with the renovation. They want to finance some of it with selling theater chairs and bricks that they use for the outside. And of course the hope for lots of donated time of locals. But they are moving ahead.
